MAE ORGANIC BEAUTY is dedicated to providing the best in holistic hair services, beauty, and lifestyle products. We care about the longevity of your hair as well as your health and strive to find the best non toxic products to create the perfect hairstyle to compliment each individual client’s lifestyle. Our aim is to have you feeling relaxed and uplifted at the end of each and every service without the concern of being exposed to any harmful chemicals. We provide each client with an at-home care regimen to not only keep your hair looking as great at home as it does leaving the salon but to ensure the longevity and integrity of the services we provide. We care about animals and our planet which is why we chose to become apart of the Green Circle Salon movement. We hope to be trailblazers in the Nashville area and beyond to show that a cleaner approach to beauty is beneficial to not only ourselves but the world as a whole. MAE is named after our founder Amanda Foster, and her late grandmother Thelma Mae Morley who were both diagnosed with Lymphoma at young ages and we hope to help educate and support the community about a more natural approach to beauty as much as possible.

Amanda Mae Foster

Co-Owner & Hair Stylist

Amanda’s passion for holistic living started at a young age but was brought into full swing after being diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2015. Her journey with cancer had the silver lining of connecting her with so many incredible people. After realizing how important it is to have a network of others to share their stories, she decided that an organic salon and apothecary was the perfect platform to bring people together in a positive place of beauty and wellness. With nearly a decade in the salon industry, her diverse education allows her to create effortless lively hairstyles, dimensional colors and beautiful blondes. A Jill of all trades, she strides to find styles that meet your lifestyle, and that can easily be achieved at home. Amanda is accepting new clients by referral only. @amandamaebeauty

Mallory Swain

Co-Owner & Hair Stylist

Mallory has been in the hair industry for over a decade. Her career brought her to Music City five years ago with a job teaching for Aveda. She missed being behind the chair and realized her real passion comes through the combination of education and one on one with clients. Currently Mallory teaches for R+Co and is a Certified Holistic Health Coach. Mallory specializes in lived in color and a whole transformation. Mallory also does hand tied extensions. In her spare time Mallory enjoys yoga, reading and spending time with her partner Alex and their pup Pepper Ann.

MORDECHAI ALVOW

Founder & Creative Director

Mordechai is an experienced editorial and celebrity hair stylist, in addition to being a green lifestyle expert and founder of YAROK Hair Care. His approach interprets cutting-edge fashion and trends into uniquely fresh and wearable hairstyles, both customized for each client’s style and lifestyle. His celebrity clients have included Melania Trump, Naomi Watts and Catherine Zeta Jones. His editorial work has graced the pages of VOGUE, Allure, ELLE, In Style, Marie Claire, New York Magazine and the Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and the runways of Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, and Yohji Yamamoto, among others. He brings this breadth of experience and influence to his salon clients through his technical mastery of cut and color.

ALYONA RYVKINA

Hair Stylist

Alyona has always had a passion for earthly beauty. She began her work with hair at 14 years old at her home in Odessa, Ukraine. When she moved to New York City, she assisted in the city's top salons, being trained by leading experts in the industry.

Her calmness and peaceful energy lends itself to attentive, thorough, and thus exceptional salon service. Moreover she is deeply concerned with the environment, and eager to educate others on sustainable practices, which is why she fits in so well at Yarok. Working at Yarok provides Alyona with a platform that combines her vision for aesthetics and a healthy, organic lifestyle.

Aside from her accomplishments in the organic beauty industry, Alyona also holds a B.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Management from Baruch College. Much of her free time is spent volunteering, and she dreams of one day organizing an organic garden that will benefit her local community

MARY MAZZAFERRO

Hair Assistant

Mary is from Brooklyn-NY, where she grew up helping her father with his business (pizzeria), she loves animals and nature. At home, she takes care of Gil (a rescue puppy), an organic herb garden and a fig tree, which was there before she was born.

Mary has chosen to follow her own dreams, she has always loved the beauty industry, joining Yarok's team she is motivated to become a great Hairstylist.

EWA PERRY

Makeup

Ewa is a NYC-based freelance makeup artist who has experience in beauty, fashion, TV, film and commercial. She was born and raised in Poland, where she went to art school and gained an understanding of colors and textures, which lead to the discovery of a love for makeup. Since then, she has been making a name for herself as a professional with a very diverse set of skills and experience working for brands such as MTV, Comedy Central, Oxygen, Adidas, Macy's, among others.
